Video and pictures have emerged of Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg laughing with German riot cops before being "detained" at a coal mine protest.
"The 20-year-old was among dozens of climate activists who were detained by police officers yesterday during protests at a mine in the coal village of Lutzerath, in the North Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany," The Daily Mail reported.
"A theory has been circulating online that Thunberg's protest arrest was in fact 'all set up for the cameras'. German authorities have denied this claim."
A video emerged on Twitter claiming it was a fake arrest and shows Thunberg smiling and laughing with another protester as they are being held by police.
The Twitter account which posted the video said it forced MSM to report on the "fake arrest" after the video went viral.
"Good news! The MSM has been forced to report on the #GretaThunberg video & respond to it, the last thing they wanted. But when a video goes viral & gets 8 million views, the media have no choice," the Twitter user said.

It is consistently an example of media politics that she is even a 'news' article. A manufactured representative of a concept that is hollow when even subject of a cursory examination. Would the the stage appearance at the WEF/Davos be a clue in this regard?
Perhaps a revenue generator that may consume more energy than it saves?
Suspect those actually addressing environmental concerns can only stretch rationalizing her attention as some form of marketing effect (transfer?).

Fakeness for her dan club.
This was as fake as a cake…..just like this climate emergency Gondek has declared.

I'll believe it when she has her bank accounts frozen, is imprisoned for months without bail or trial, and is wrongly vilified by Canada's media.
Not likely to occur - even then her legal team would fly (environmentally friendly electric plane???) to her aid.
I encourage Freeland to do that to her!
