RE: Why I left the Mainstream Media for the Western Standard

Ms. Emmanuel’s article, was quite revealing in terms of the Federal Government’s interference in institutions that are, supposedly, “independent”. How is it that the Federal Government can now get away with doing indirectly what it cannot do directly. For as long as I can remember, we had a maxim at law: What the law forbids to be done directly cannot be made lawful by doing it indirectly. Yet, that maxim seems to have been discarded. We have a Federal Government that regards itself as above the rule of law. In essence, we have a Federal Government that is lawless.
