And I’d like to think it had something to do with it..The background. Kyle and I worked at the same company and, I think through mutual friends, we met on Facebook Messenger..I mean, I’ve never even met the guy, but I know he’s also a great actor, doing amazing work in the Toronto area, for big TV shows and feature films..He’s played everything from cops, to mobsters, but remains quite humble about it. He works in the background, but, someday hopes to break through to bigger parts.. Dave-MakichukDave Makichuk .But this story is not really about Kyle, it’s about his cat, Finn, a mackerel tabbie who was adopted in Brantford, where he lives with his wife Anita..It was an innocuous post … Kyle sent me a picture of Finn, and said, he’s not doing well. .They had tried everything, spent a fortune at the vets, and nothing was working. He was sick for weeks, Anita said. They even feared it was that feline leukemia thing, but nobody was sure..Well, the photo broke my heart. I too have a rough and tumble mackerel tabbie, named Burt, who we adopted from the streets of Red Deer. .The photo of Finn, was like a spear into my heart … I could not look upon it for long. Something compelled me to do something I had never done before, for anyone..Not even my Mom & Dad..As I told Kyle to hang in there, I decided to go to the top. The very top..I Googled Pope Francis’ email, and begged him to pray for Finn, to save him. I know, maybe it was a naive thing to do, but I didn’t care. .Every word, in that message, came straight from my heart..Days later I received an email in my inbox. It was from the Vatican!.They instructed me, to write a letter, and mail it to the Holy See, in Rome, which I did..I asked him to pray for Finn and included a little toy, a cat-related key-chain type of thing, just something cool … a gift, for His Grace..Well, I never did hear back, and, I don’t know if the Pope ever saw it. Who knows, maybe he gets thousands of letters, asking for help..And, yes, we’re talking a cat, a pet, not a person, a child, or someone dying of the Big C..And while I never did get a note back from the Vatican, to our collective shock, Finn made a miraculous recovery. As if, it never even happened..Kyle also credits a change in medicine, from the vet, but the recovery was so quick and complete, even they were shocked..Finn, today, lives a happy, great life, perhaps not knowing that God’s right hand on earth may have saved him..We will never know..Makichuk is a Calgary freelance writer.This is what the Western Standard is up againstThe Trudeau government is funding lies and propaganda by directly subsidizing the mainstream media.
