His Majesty King Charles sent a message to Atlantic Canada regarding the devastation caused by Hurricane Fiona.."My wife and I were most concerned to hear of the appalling devastation caused by storm Fiona and particularly, wanted to send our profound sympathy to the people of Atlantic Canada whose lives livelihoods and properties have been so badly affected by this disaster," King Charles said..Over the weekend, Hurricane Fiona slammed Atlantic Canada..On Sunday, the body of a missing 73-year-old Port aux Basques woman, who was reported missing after her home was damaged by Hurricane Fiona, was recovered..RCMP officers located the body in the water shortly before 4 p.m. With assistance from the Canadian Coast Guard, as well as Stephenville and Barachois Search and Rescue teams, the woman was recovered. She was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for further examination.."We have fond memories of our recent visit to your beautiful region and know that your resilience and sense of community will help you through these unbelievably difficult times," King Charles said.."We would also like to express our deep appreciation to the first responders, the military and to community members who are doing so much to support others during this extreme challenging period. Our thoughts and prayers are very much with all of you as you work to recover and rebuild."
