RCMP in Manitoba are engaged in a massive manhunt for an accused killer – in a case that has eerie comparisons to Canada’s worst mass killing in Nova Scotia last year..Police are searching for Eric Wildman, 34, suspected of killing his neighbour, Clifford Joseph, 40, who was reported missing June 7. His truck was found later that day, abandoned in a rural area, north of Winnipeg..The body of Joseph has never been found and police told the Winnipeg Free Press this week Wildman was once a suspect in another neighbour’s disappearance in 2018. Vernon Otto, 66, vanished on May 30, that year. He has never been found..Last week, RCMP said foul play was involved in Joseph’s disappearance and they wanted to talk to Wildman, who made a living tinkering with cars on his rural property..Worryingly, a search of Wildman’s vehicle found in Winnipeg uncovered a cache of tactical-style weapons and police apparel, drawing comparisons to Gabriel Wortman, the killer who went on a rampage in Nova Scotia in a police-style cruiser and Mountie apparel. Twenty-two people died before Wortman was shot to death by police.. Screen-Shot-2021-06-17-at-11.21.33-AM-1Weapons found in Wildman’s vehicle. The fire also destroyed 48 out of 56 vehicles parked in Wildman’s yard, fire officials told the Toronto Star..Wildman is described as 6-ft- 2-ins., 170 lbs. with blue eyes. He was last seen wearing shorts, a T-shirt and a white camouflage ball cap..The public is urged to call 911 or the RCMP tip line at 431-489-8551 if they see Wildman, but to not approach him as he’s considered armed and dangerous..Dave Naylor is the News Editor of the Western Standard.,dnaylor@westernstandardonline.com,.Twitter.com/nobby7694
