Elon Musk posted a tweet criticizing the Canadian Prime Minister’s political actions with a photo of Adolf Hitler, but many think the joke is inappropriate.
In a now-deleted tweet, Musk compared Justin Trudeau to Hitler.

The meme was a response to a CoinDesk tweet on the federal government trying to access the Freedom Convoy’s digital currency funds.
The Auschwitz Memorial museum of OÅwiÄcim, Poland, said the comparison is disrespectful and damaging to victims.
“Using the image of Adolf Hitler & therefore exploiting the tragedy of all people who suffered, were humiliated, tortured & murdered by the totalitarian regime of Nazi Germany created by him is sad & disturbing,” tweeted the
Auschwitz Memorial.
“It disrespects the memory of all victims & hurts many people.”
Online responses to Musk’s tweet and the memorial’s sentiments are mixed.
“My ancestors were victims of Hitler. They were victims because no one stood up to the dictator all the way back in 1933—when he was just starting out,” said @ComradeVero.
“It doesn’t hurt me for Elon to make this comparison.”
Musk posted his support for the freedom protests on January 27, by tweeting “Canadian truckers rule.”
