Alberta wildlife officers are on the hunt for whoever killed a female grizzly bear with her cubs near Edson..The person responsible could face fines of $100,000 for killing the bear..Officials were tipped off on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. when Edson Fish and Wildlife officers received a public complaint of a shot and left grizzly bear, west of Edson, off the Swanson Road..The grizzly bear was shot with a high-powered rifle on a logging road in an open cut block..The incident occurred between the evening of Friday, October 8 and the morning of Saturday, October 9, said wildlife officials..
