One found, two to go..RCMP in Surrey has recovered one of three puppies stolen during a home break-in..On April 10, three American Bulldog puppies — valued at about $3,000 apiece — were stolen in a break and enter at a Surrey residence in the 17400 block of 8 Avenue..Just two days later, following reports in the media, Surrey RCMP received information from a member of the public and was able to recover one of the puppies..It was learned the pup was had been sold to an unwary attendee at a car show in Mission, BC, over the weekend..Police said the investigation is still ongoing and officers believe the other two puppies may have also been sold in a similar manner..The owners told police they were thrilled with the return of the pup, named Rosie, and are desperate to retrieve the other two pilfered pups..Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed anyone trying to sell similar pups or knows anything about them to call Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502, or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477..Mike D’Amour is the British Columbia Bureau Chief for the Western Standard..,.mdamour@westernstandardonline.com
