I haven’t seen anything to date that demonstrates the media buyout performed by the liberal government, and the compliance bought, better than the Conservative's ‘debate’ in Edmonton..The utterly tone-deaf approach taken by the organizers in the beginning of the debate literally had my jaw dropping..Shushing the crowd, and eliminating their ability to participate, weigh in and demonstrate their reception of what the candidates were saying was an astonishing demonstration of the muzzling of conservative voices..To top that off, they disable the candidates’ freedom to invoke the name of he who shall not be named!? I know most western Canadians do regard Voldemort higher than Trudeau, but to plainly remove the opportunity of the candidates to gain a zinger - a soundbite - referring to Trudeau, was shocking..I regard myself as pretty ‘red-pilled’, to use today’s parlance, but that shocked even this cynic..The debate did achieve many responses; if that was their goal in the structure, they accomplished it, but I really am not swayed in voting for a particular candidate over another based on their recent Netflix binge..I shouldn’t have expected better from a bought media that fawns over Trudeau’s hair to focus on substance, but I was robbed of vital, critical information that my country’s future hangs on..Cringe-worthy, indeed..Was there not an Albertan, a western Canadian, or even – gosh – a Conservative pundit to host this event?.The message that Conservative voices are barely tolerated, was the loudest message I heard.
