Ministers Neudorf and Jean were. The difference between not invited and uninvited might feel subtle but it’s not,” he wrote..“It’s like the difference between a clean grid that works (our plan) and a fossil fuel free grid with blackouts (UCP fever dream).”.In a letter to the committee, Smith said she had accepted the invitation to Jean and Neudorf on the government’s behalf, but was informed that the meeting, scheduled for next Tuesday, had been cancelled after Suncor CEO Rich Kruger refused to attend..On Wednesday Chahal — who had previously been fined $500 by Elections Canada for stealing election flyers from mailboxes in the 2020 campaign — held a media availability demanding Smith cancel the UCP government’s $8 million ‘lights out’ ad campaign and suspend the moratorium on renewable energy projects..The so-called ‘porch pirate’ is widely believed to have cost Chahal a spot in the Liberal cabinet..“Eight million dollars of Alberta taxpayers’ dollars are funding a campaign of misinformation. That’s a problem for me as a Calgarian and as an Albertan,” he said.
