A former teacher at Springbank Community High School is facing new charges related to child pornography following an ongoing investigation by Cochrane RCMP.Police say the investigation began on January 21 after a female student reported inappropriate conduct by a teacher. That led to charges against 49-year-old Timothy Bailey of Calgary, including child luring, sexual exploitation, and making explicit material available to a young person.The investigation continued with help from the Southern Alberta Internet Child Exploitation Unit. On July 8, Bailey was arrested and charged with accessing and possessing child pornography..He was released on conditions following a Judicial Interim Release Hearing and is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Cochrane on September 9.RCMP confirmed that Bailey is no longer employed by Rocky View Schools.Police did not release further details but said the investigation remains active.
