Freedom Convoy co-organizer Tamara Lich said on the same day anti-Israel protestors occupied a Canadian government building in Ottawa, she and co-organizer Chris Barber received news of the verdict date for their mischief trial. The verdict will be coming down on March 12. “No charges from yesterday’s events, certainly no threats of ten years in prison,” tweeted Lich.“No snipers.” .Lich said the anti-Israel protestors did not have frozen bank accounts. Moreover, she said there were no trampling horses, battered senior citizens, and police officers beating protestors with their firearms. In this case, she said the protestors faced no consequences. Meanwhile, she and Barber will have to wait more than three months for their verdict. “Vindication is coming!” she said. Lich had said in Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Canada, “it’s OK to violently take over and occupy a government building if you’re wearing approved scarves and shouting approved slogans.” “If you’re a regular hard working Canadian however, simply requesting the return of your God-given rights and freedoms and do so in a peaceful manner, it’s off to jail for you, two-and-a-half years of crippling lawfare, and the longest mischief trial of all time,” she said. “Canada, eh?” .The trial for Lich and Barber came to an end in September — more than one year after it opened. .Lich, Barber trial wraps up, judge to give update in November on when verdict will be reached .The trial had been scheduled to last 16 days. Court was supposed to reconvene on November 26 at 1:45 p.m., where Ontario Court Justice Heather Perkins-McVey would give an update on when the verdict can be expected. The verdict could have been as long as six months away.
