All hell broke loose at Edmonton's Mayfield Dinner Theatre, the ensuing brawl caught on camera and posted on X over the weekend.

Although the cause isn't known, it can be assumed the mayhem resulted from a combination of excessive Pinot Noir consumption and Canada's decline under Justin Trudeau.

Although the brawl had multiple epicentres, the object of wrath was a large bearded man in tortoise shell glasses who stumbled around like an elephant β€” absorbing multiple punches and take-down attempts.

Several women with bad hair dye jobs were also involved.

"When people (are) frustrated by corrupt leaders and failing systems they turn on each other instead of the real problem," said an armchair philosopher and political expert on X. "The public brawls in Edmonton? It’s misdirected rage. Government leaders sit untouched, watching you and laughing from their luxury homes."

Keeping a dinner theatre afloat during a financial crisis β€” average Canadians now earn less than the poorest US states β€” probably isn't easy.

Mayfield, however, isn't short on great reviews.

"I love the Mayfield theatre in general, but this performance was absolutely exceptional," wrote one happy patron on Yelp.

"This is actually my third time seeing this musical, and once was in New York ... this third time was absolutely incredible. I was blown away by the talent in this show. It was a high quality ensemble of incredibly gifted performers. Mayfield theatre will always be a top notch Edmonton experience for me."
