Western Standard reporter James Snell spoke with B.C. political operative Ryan Painter about being evicted from the Mark Carney Liberal leadership launch in Edmonton on Thursday.

Snell, along with reporters from Counter Signal and True North, was prevented entry into the press conference despite being an accredited journalist and member of the Alberta Legislature press gallery.

All other media, including CBC and Global News, were allowed into the event. Snell refused to leave until police arrived. The worst part of the experience, said Snell, was being mocked by Liberal onlookers.

Canada's political left are no longer liberal, said Snell.
