President-elect Donald Trump launched an attack on President Joe Biden and California Governor Gavin Newsom over their handling of the state's raging wildfires.
In a series of posts on Truth Social, Trump accused the "Biden/Newscum Duo" of "gross incompetence and mismanagement" in their response to the crisis.
Trump blamed California's environmental policies for water shortages, claiming they prioritized wetlands and wildlife over ensuring fire hydrants had adequate water pressure.
He demanded the governor allow "beautiful, clean, fresh water to FLOW INTO CALIFORNIA" and called for Newsom's resignation.
Trump warned that insurance companies face mounting pressure from the disaster, which he described as a "tragedy."
His comments come as firefighters battle to contain multiple blazes, where drought conditions and high temperatures have created dangerous fire conditions.
Trump’s inauguration is on January 20.
