A youth hockey tournament turned violent when three parents were charged after a brawl.

The incident escalated from minor scuffles between players to a flurry of punches by parents.

Cellphone footage shows children trying to pull adults away from the brawl as people fell to the ground.

Police identified the accused as Colleen Biddle, Justin Pacheco, and Robert Schafer, who face assault and disorderly conduct charges.

The American Ball Hockey Alliance immediately suspended both teams from the Veterans Memorial Invitational Tournament, stressing that such behaviour is never condoned.

Although no injuries were reported, these parents set a poor example for the young athletes.
