Re: The Conservatives are the West’s last best hope
Canada finds itself front and centre at the political gate of the most serious federal election of our time, waiting for the outcome. Which will it be the Liberals or the Conservatives?
The Liberals have a new leader cherry-picked by former Prime Minister Trudeau, but the remainder of the party is the same fatigued caucus as before, that will incorporate unchanged plans... so nothing changes. Is this what Canada's electorate wishes or needs? I don’t believe so.
Canadians will learn if the Liberal trend continues in Ontario or changes direction. There have been boundary changes to five new federal ridings and dozens more will be reshaped or rejigged, so does this timeline somehow whisper “gerrymandering” in the political battle by undecided experts?
One of the factors not mentioned of late is that of political interference but rest assured it is ever present in this election.
Whatever the outcome of this election will indeed convey the way Canada must conduct itself in today’s world and act accordingly. Holding its head high and remaining as a relevant member of the humanistic society. Optimistically we may predominate in the world's civilization for many centuries. Even though there are no guarantees, we must keep the faith.
Feast or famine emerges as the main theme of this election. Which one will you choose?
