Conservative candidate Tamara Jansen has defeated her Liberal opponent Madison Fleischer in the riding of Cloverdale-Langley City.
It marks the third seat Justin Trudeau's party has lost in the past few months that were long viewed as secure.
According to Elections Canada, with 122 of 122 polls reporting, Jansen garnered 9,931 votes while Fleischer came in at 2,401. Out of the 92,061 eligible voters, less than 15,000 turned out to cast their ballots.
The Liberals held the seat from 2015 to 2019, and regained it in 2021 following a brief stint of Conservative control when Jansen was voted in the first time.
