It's a picture of urban decay at its worst.
Four young adults sit on a bus bench shooting up their drugs as an elderly man with a cane stands uncomfortably by, seemingly not willing to look their direction.
In L.A., sure. Vancouver, of course. But surely not Calgary.
But sadly it is Calgary, a photo of urban decay snapped on Thursday afternoon by Regina Shakirova, at 4 St. and 13 Ave. S.W. at a bus stop outside the Sheldon Chumir Centre
"The gentleman with the walking stick was shaking, his knees were wobbling and he could barely stand," said Shakirova.
"He was the one who needed to sit down on the bench, but no. They were so busy taking their drugs they probably didn't even notice him, and if they did, I'm sure they wouldn't have cared."
Calgary, it is to weep.
