Edmonton massage therapist charged with sex assault, police seek additional victims

Western Standard News Services

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) has charged a 42-year-old massage therapist with sexual assault and is urging potential additional victims to come forward.

Police began investigating on Dec. 10, 2024, after a woman reported being sexually assaulted by a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) at a clinic in Edmonton’s Oliver neighborhood.

Following the investigation, EPS charged Christian Zeus Cabillan, 42, with one count of sexual assault on Dec. 12.

The Canadian Massage and Manual Osteopathic Therapists Association has since revoked Cabillan’s RMT licence. However, police believe Cabillan may still be practicing massage therapy in Edmonton and suspect there could be other victims.

“If you have been victimized by Christian Zeus Cabillan, please come forward and report it to police,” said Det. Dustin Brown with the EPS Sexual Assault Section.

“We believe there may be other complainants in Edmonton. As such, our investigators want to ensure that these individuals are connected to resources to support their wellbeing.”

Anyone who believes they have been targeted by Cabillan is asked to contact EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone.
