A 12-year-old girl was allegedly raped multiple times over several moths by 19 migrants in Vienna, Austria — the first individual on trial, a 17-year-old Syrian national named Ahmad, has been acquitted, even though he had already confessed, say reports.

The court said there was insufficient evidence to prove the girl did not consent. The migrant gave the girl €100 as a ‘gesture of goodwill’ before leaving the courtroom.

"Mia claims that Ahmad physically forced her into giving him oral sex the first time, and with subsequent recordings, he and his horde of migrant friends repeatedly raped her over the course of months," reported REMIX news.

The 19 suspects are accused of gang raping "Mia" for months and using videos of the crimes taken between February and June 2023 as blackmail material to coerce her into having further sex, sometimes multiple times a week, REMIX added.

The case has stirred massive public reaction, with discussions on social media and in news outlets focusing on immigration, crime, and the legal system's handling of such cases.

Elon Musk, who has weighed into race-crime debates online, posted the story to his X account, saying "This is crazy."
