The Langley RCMP's Drugs and Organized Crime Section has executed a search warrant that uncovered approximately $1,000,000 worth of stolen property.

The goods were obtained by members of a sophisticated organized crime network.

The investigation began on December 17, 2024, following a series of break-and-enter incidents across the Lower Mainland. Detectives identified a possible suspect and linked stolen property to a site located in the 19700-block of 28 Avenue, Langley.

On January 7, 2025, with assistance from the Lower Mainland District Integrated Emergency Response Team, a search warrant was executed. Officers uncovered a highly organized property crime operation, strategically designed to resemble a legitimate business. The operation was centered in a large, well-equipped outbuilding that had been carefully staged as a resale hub.

The search revealed a staggering array of stolen goods, including 10 stolen vehicles, including trailers, boats, and ATVs, approximately 10,000 liters of gasoline and diesel, a vast assortment of power tools, three loaded firearms and numerous electronic devices believed to be used in the production of fake identity cards and fraudulent vehicle identification numbers.

Eight individuals were detained during the operation and later released pending further investigation.

"The dedication and hard work of the officers of the Langley RCMP's Drugs and Organized Crime Section have disrupted this criminal operation," Sgt. Zynal Sharoom said. "The sophisticated design of the outbuilding resembled a hardware store that had been strategically established as a resale operation."

Officers are now working diligently to identify the rightful owners of the several hundred seized items, advancing the investigation to hold those involved accountable.

The Langley RCMP is urging members of the public to come forward if they have unknowingly purchased stolen goods from this operation. If you purchased items from the 19700-block of 28 Avenue, Langley after responding to advertisements on social media, you are encouraged to contact the Langley RCMP and reference file number 2024-40997.
