Head of America’s DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) Elon Musk has sounded the alarm on a claim made by Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky on elusive American funding.
Zelensky on Sunday during an interview with local media claimed he “doesn’t know where" the lions' share of the billions of dollars from American taxpayers to fund the Ukraine-Russia war went.
Musk reposted the video with a pair of exclamation points.
“America gave Ukraine $177 billion, supported by Congress,” said Zelensky in the video.
“As the president of a warring country, I tell you, we just received over $75 (billion).”
“That is, $100 billion, or $200 billion some people say, of the $177 billion, we have never received.”
Zelensky said of the $177 billion, some came not in the form of money, but of weapons.
“There is (also) training, additional transport, humanitarian programs, social programs, etc.” he said.
“But when they say that Ukraine during the war received $200 billion to support the army etc., this is not true.”
“I don’t know where all that money is.”
