St. Albert RCMP are investigating a racially motivated demonstration reported on St. Albert Trail on Saturday.

Three men at the side of a road held signs saying "Deport Them All. The also made Nazi salutes.

Officers were called to the scene at 11:45 a.m. after receiving complaints about three individuals holding signs described as racially charged. Police quickly attended, identified and spoke to the participants, who dispersed without incident.

No arrests were made at the time.

In a statement, the Alberta RCMP emphasized their commitment to fostering safe, inclusive communities.

“We firmly believe that everyone should feel safe and be treated with equality and respect,” the statement read. “We take any action that threatens the safety and security of others extremely seriously.”

The RCMP confirmed that the investigation remains active, with support from various units, including the Alberta RCMP Hate Crimes Coordinator.

Members of the public who have images or information about the demonstration are urged to contact the St. Albert RCMP at 780-458-7700.

"This is disgusting! This level of racist hate has no place anywhere. I hope this is investigated as a hate crime and these pieces of human garbage are charged," said Heather McPherson, NDP MP for Edmonton Strathcona.
