Police have called on the public to help them catch those involved in a break and enter in Chilliwack.
The suspects made off with a number of firearms and "a significant amount" of Vietnamese Dong.
According to the Chilliwack RCMP, the incident took place sometime between December 25 and 27 on the 4000-block of Lyardon Road, just off Chilliwack Lake Road near Baker Trails. Upon arriving on the scene, officers "found the home had been ransacked and several items taken."
As many as 25 firearms were stolen, most of which were long guns, and investigators are working to identify the make and models so they can be traced.
Police appealed to "anyone involved in currency exchanges," warning them to "be on the lookout for individuals attempting to exchange large amounts of VDN for other currencies."
No description of the suspects has been released, though investigators have noted that "two vehicles described as a small white vehicle and a Ford diesel pickup truck" may have been used during the heist.
