Liberal Leader Bonnie Crombie had an eventful press conference in Mississauga on Monday, as Ontario leaders campaign across the province ahead of the February 27 election.
After a rocky start — Crombie began her address to an empty room, and 25 minutes later repeated the same opening — she said her party has created a “fight tariff fund, the FTF.”
“Or the F Trump fund too, however you want to take it,” said Crombie.
President Donald Trump has put Canada on notice for 25% tariffs on all Canadian goods exported to the US as of March due to Canada's porous border and fentanyl issues.
Crombie at the same presser challenged Premier Doug Ford, leader of the Ontario Progressive Conservatives, to a duel.
“I’m happy to challenge him anytime on his turf or in mine,” she said.
“And my turf is the gym, so if he wants to come at me, and we'll have a competition in the gym, and maybe we'll do push-ups.”
