Liberal leadership candidate and unelected politician Mark Carney is clinging to “woke” ideology and DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) agendas as the US cans such policies.
President Donald Trump has axed funding for all DEI programs and condemned institutions like the Federal Aviation Administration for hiring based on skin colour and sexual preferences rather than merit.
Carney, on the other hand, apparently believes discriminating based on appearance and sexual identity is what Canadians want — and even perpetuates the veneer that these programs are “inclusive” for all.
“There’s a fever gripping America. And while it rages, Canadians will remain resolute and true to our values,” Carney told reporters Wednesday.
“While America engages in a war on woke, Canadians will continue to value inclusiveness.”
