As Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre geared up for another record-breaking crowd on Thursday, a small group of pro-Palestine protesters camped out outside his event.

Poilievre’s rally in Oshawa, ON, saw a massive crowd of approximately 6,500 people, and again was held in an airplane hangar — this time with an actual plane inside.

Video footage of the sidewalk outside the venue where the Tories held their rally shows about 10 masked activists, some wearing Hamas keffiyehs, waving large Palestinian flags and holding signs.

“How can you elect a child murder-supporter PM,” read one sign, referring to the Israel-Hamas war, which escalated October 7, 2023 after the terror group violated an existing ceasefire agreement and brutally attacked Israel.

Israel defended itself, and a war wages on — but Palestine supporters claim Israel is guilty of genocide and decry attacks on Gaza, despite Hamas using its people as human shields.

“Genocide supporter to be our PM,” read another sign, referring to the Conservative leader’s staunch support for Israel.

The protesters were still there when Poilievre supports began streaming out at the end of the rally.

Two or three people reportedly required medical attention at the rally Thursday night. At one point, Poilievre paused his speech and said, "we need a medic over there."

He waited several minutes while the person was seen to, before he thanked the medics and continued on.
