The National Citizens Coalition (NCC) has launched a campaign condemning the Liberals for driving Canada into an affordability crisis and urging Canadians to "change everything" by heading to the polls on April 28.
"It's time to reclaim your Canadian dream," wrote the taxpayer advocacy group in the caption of a video urging Canadians to demand "real solutions" on housing, immigration and the future.
NCC, founded in 1967, has the express goal to "stand up for Canadian taxpayers and to champion small-c conservative values."
The one-minute video drives home hard realities for especially young Canadians: the average rent payment is at an all-time high of $2,202, groceries are $800 higher annually than they've ever been and young people are delaying buying a home and starting a family because of cost of living.
"Eight in ten (80%) believe that owning a home in Canada is now only for the rich," states the ad.
"Mark Carney's policies are the same ones that got us here in the first place," says the narrator.
"Like mass immigration, higher taxes and shutting down our ability to build anything."
"The Liberals' priorities aren't our priorities — but together we can change everything. We can reclaim our Canadian dream."
"It's our turn. It's our country — vote."
