Victoria police is looking to identify a man who reportedly asked a father if his three-year-old daughter was available for purchase..The incident occurred last Wednesday in the 1600-block of Hillside Avenue, police say..The father was entering a retail outlet with his three-year-old daughter when the pair was approached by a “suspicious man” who then asked the father if he wanted to sell his child, offering him money..Feeling “threatened,” officers say the father reported the incident to Victoria police that evening..The man in question is described as a white man in his 70s, approximately 6’2” with a heavy-build, balding with a shortly-clipped haircut and possibly wearing glasses..Victoria police ask anyone with information about the incident to call its report desk at 250-995-7654, or to anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
