Because of the lack of private jet parking spots, some jets land and fly to another airport to park until the owner needs their jet back to fly off from the WEF meeting..It’s not just the WEF elites who could give up their private jet travels..We constantly hear from Hollywood celebrities about how we need to stop climate change, but the celebrities fly around on their private jets..There’s a Twitter account to follow celebrities’ private jet travelling called CelebJets..One of the biggest users of private jets is Kylie Jenner from Keeping Up with the Kardashians fame, who recently took five flights in a single week with an average flight time of fewer than 20 minutes, including one flight that was only three minutes..Jenner’s three-minute flight generated 10 times the average annual CO2 footprint of someone in Uganda. .Let that sink in, Jenner’s three-minute flight generated as much CO2 as 10 Ugandans do in a year! .The CO2 emissions of the richest 1% are thirty times above the level they need to be at to limit global warming to 1.5 C in 2030. But, the poorest 50% of the world is already below the CO2 emissions level..Other celebrities joined Jenner as the worse CO2 emitters, Taylor Swift, Floyd Mayweather, and Jay-Z round out the top four emitters..If the WEF elites and Hollywood celebrities want us to curb our CO2 emissions, they need to lead by example, which they are not!.When private jets get banned, I might take them seriously..For now, I’ll keep my gas-powered car as I’m not a big polluter!
