Rob Ward, a candidate in Ward 11 in Calgary’s civic election on October 30, took to X, after Ward 12 Cllr. Evan Spencer attacked Ward 7 Cllr. Terry Wong after a land use debate in city council chambers, causing Wong to consider not running for office again in the fall.

The disrespect this man receives from members of council, who conveniently have announced they aren’t running again, is disgusting. Spencer has decided not to run again, after just one term on council. Ward, Wong and McLean are running for reelection under the banner of the Communities First Party banner.
