Two federal leaders are visiting Saskatchewan on Wednesday for the first time this campaign, as the federal election race reaches its halfway mark.

Liberal Leader Mark Carney will travel from Calgary to Saskatoon, where he plans to unveil an announcement and connect with young supporters.

Meanwhile, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh is coming from the First Nations Summit in Vancouver and is scheduled to land in Saskatoon for an evening rally.

Saskatchewan has only 14 federal ridings and has been a Conservative stronghold in recent federal elections.

The appearances by both Carney and Singh could signal renewed efforts by their parties to broaden their reach in the province.

However, recent polls all show the Conservatives gaining even more support across the province.

Elsewhere, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre will hold a press conference in Sault Ste. Marie, ON, before heading to a rally in Brampton, ON.

Elections Canada has just released the full list of candidates in ridings across the country, even as the Liberals and Conservatives continue to shed contenders over controversial comments.
