WATCH: Trudeau tells CNN 'climate change' caused Los Angeles fires

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau went on CNN to blame the Los Angeles wildfires on climate change.

Trudeau said wildfires are worsening due to climate change and requiring more government resources and expertise to fight them.  

"Over the past years, we've seen it get far worse, and we've seen wildfires increasingly encroaching on urban areas," said Trudeau.

"Also, know that climate change means they're gonna get steadily worse, and we have to keep stepping up in fighting climate change."

Trudeau said that California Governor Gavin Newsom is accepting Canadian firefighting equipment.

"We've offered a tremendous amount of equipment that they're already accepting," said Trudeau.
