Authorities have identified the driver involved in the Las Vegas Cybertruck explosion as 37-year-old Matthew Livelsberger, a resident of Colorado Springs.
However, Livelsberger had multiple addresses associated with him in the Colorado Springs area.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), working with the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), has launched an investigation into a townhouse complex in the Stetson Hills neighbourhood on the east side of Colorado Springs.
According to CSPD, the FBI is currently at one of Livelsberger’s listed addresses with armoured vehicles and FBI agents in tactical gear.
While neighbours have been escorted away from the area as a precaution, the FBI and CSPD said there is no known threat to the broader community.
The circumstances surrounding the explosion in Las Vegas remain under investigation, and law enforcement has yet to release further details about Livelsberger’s involvement.
Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
