Following a strong kickoff in Westlock, the Alberta Christian Municipal Rally (ACMR) continues its province-wide movement Tuesday, with its second stop in Red Deer. The ACMR organizers “invite Christians from across the region to gather, worship, and see the LORD for the future of Alberta.”Doors open at 5:00 p.m. for networking and coffee; 6:00 for the event.Led by Christian Impact Network Executive Director Michael Clark, known as “Canada’s Political Missionary,” the ACMR tour is uniting believers to pray for the upcoming municipal elections and to consider how they might step into roles of public leadership — or support those who do.Multiple MPs, MLAs and elected municipal officials will speak to encourage potential candidates and churchgoers..“This isn’t a traditional political tour — it’s a Kingdom movement to pray, equip, and raise up godly leaders who will govern under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and restore righteousness across our land,” said Clark in a press release.Attendees can expect a night of worship, exhortation, candidate testimonies and a call to civic involvement rooted in faith.“We cannot simply whine about all the problems we see in news articles,” said Clark.“We must work to see the values of our wonderful faith engage our culture and help shape the rules that govern mankind.”.This rally is not just for Red Deer, but for everyone in surrounding communities who wants to see biblical values return to Alberta’s local leadership. The event is free to attend, and tickets must be reserved at ChristianImpactNetwork.com.Organizers stress that this is a spiritual call to action — “And the government shall be upon His shoulders” (Isaiah 9:6). They are seeking the Lord for wisdom and courage for a new generation of mayors, councillors, and trustees.“Christians considering running for office are welcome to join our fellowship of Christian Politicians across Alberta and across the country, by applying on our website,” wrote ACMR organizers.Christian candidates will be invited to speak at future events.
