A quartet of suspected drug traffickers have been charged after police seized illicit substances and an arsenal of guns in Langford, BC.A total of 4.5kg of cocaine, 20 firearms, over 20,000 round of ammunition, two sets of ballistic armour, and $27,000 in cash were recovered.According to the Victoria Police Department, an investigation that began in early June 2024 culminated in the execution of a search warrant on residence in the 800-block of Pintail Place and the arrest of Kelt Haymes. He was subsequently charged with one count of possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, two counts of careless storage of a firearm, one count of unauthorized possession of a prohibited device, and one count of possession of Cocaine for the purpose of trafficking..Lain Babin, Sarah Bonin, and Abigail Lopez were later arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking cocaine and one count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, one count of trafficking cocaine, and one count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, respectively."This investigation demonstrated the dedication and determination of our officers and staff," VicPD Chief Del Manak said. "I am incredibly proud of the work done by our GIS officers, Strike Force, and the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team, alongside the crucial support from our civilian staff, in their combined efforts to secure charges and remove dangerous weapons and drugs from our community."As the matter is now before the courts, no further information was provided.
