An alleged MS-13 gang member was apprehended at the Canada-United States border after making a "wrong turn" onto the Peace Bridge connecting Buffalo, New York and Fort Erie, Ontario.US Customs and Border Protection said 24-year-old Honduran national Franklyn Hernandez Giron was taken into custody on November 22 and is set to be deported.According to CBP, Giron failed to present a Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative compliant document, such as a valid US passport, and was subsequently taken aside for a secondary screening.Officers there discovered his affiliation with the notorious central American gang and arrested him. He was processed by CBP and will soon face removal proceedings."This example of the dangerous individuals our CBP officers encounter highlights the dedication and commitment these officers have to keeping our communities safe," Area Port Director Gaetano Cordone said.
