A 34-year-old Burnaby, B.C., man has been charged in connection with a historical sexual assault investigation involving a teenage Calgary girl. According to Calgary police, Isaac Ho was charged with sexual interference with a child under 16, invitation to sexual touching with a child under 16 and sexual assault of a victim under 16.The alleged incidents occurred in 2013 when the victim, a 13-year-old girl at the time, met Ho, then 22, online through a mutual acquaintance involved in the cosplay scene. The two began communicating via social media, which led to in-person meetings and an alleged sexual relationship..Although a family member reported the relationship to police in 2013, the victim and Ho denied any sexual contact, and there was insufficient evidence to support charges.However, the victim came forward again in December 2024, providing new information that led to Ho's arrest.HO is scheduled to appear in court on August 8. Police are encouraging anyone with information about similar incidents to contact them at 403-266-1234 or submit tips anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
