Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot have been put on leave, effective immediately, according to Axios.The two caused widespread controversy on Wednesday night when they were caught in a romantic embrace on the classic “kiss cam” at a Boston-area Coldplay concert by the band’s frontman, Chris Martin.Footage of the jumbotron cutting to the married CEO of Astronomer and his mistress, Cabot, rocketed across social media, sparking massive speculation about their relationship.Earlier today, the tech company issued a statement on the controversy..“Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability,” the tech-and-data firm said in a statement.“The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly.”The company has since stated Byron has not put out any statement and reports saying otherwise are incorrect.Byron is married to Megan Kerrigan — an educator in Massachusetts — and has two children..Since the incident, she has reportedly removed her husband's surname from her social media profiles, sparking rumours of marital discord.The incident has also led to criticism from some of Byron's former colleagues, many of whom were not surprised, a former staffer told The New York Post."The text groups and chains of former employees are like...everybody's laughing and enjoying the hell out of what happened and him getting exposed," the former colleague said.
