A Crossfield teacher has been charged with 16 sexual offences following an investigation by Airdrie Rural RCMP that identified eight alleged victims.Rodney Reisner, 47, of Airdrie, was arrested Wednesday and charged with eight counts of sexual assault and eight counts of sexual exploitation. Police say the alleged incidents occurred while Reisner was a teacher at W.G. Murdoch School in Crossfield, Alta.Reisner is currently in custody awaiting a Judicial Interim Release Hearing..Rocky View Schools confirmed that Reisner has not been teaching at any of its schools since late 2023 and has been “unassigned.”“Rodney is an exceptional senior mathematics teacher who is always eager to increase his knowledge and skill to bring new learning and ideas into the classroom. His dedication to learning and sports at W.G.
