A Montreal man with a history of human trafficking convictions has been arrested in Calgary and charged with multiple offences.
Authorities say Kristof Dion-Pons, 26, a self-identified member of the "FSO" gang, was trafficking women in Calgary and Edmonton over a two-year period.
Dion-Pons was arrested on January 30, 2025, by ALERT Calgary’s Human Trafficking unit with assistance from the Calgary Police Service.
Investigators have identified at least five victims, and at the time of his arrest, he was in the company of three alleged victims.
“FSO,” which stands for “Fly S--- Only,” is a Montreal-based gang allegedly involved in human trafficking across Canada.
The gang is known for branding its victims.
“In most instances, these perpetrators will lure and attract their victims under the pretense of romance, of being their boyfriend. But it’s important for us to highlight the machinations of organized crime behind human trafficking and the profit involved in exploiting girls for sex,” said Det. Kathy Bowman of ALERT.
The three survivors have been provided support through ALERT’s Safety Network Coordinator. Survivors of human trafficking are encouraged to call 211 for help.
Dion-Pons has been charged with trafficking in persons, advertising of sexual services, identity fraud, and possession of proceeds of crime.
He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on March 27.
His arrest followed a request for assistance from Quebec’s joint forces Anti-Pimping team, known as EILP.
In 2018, Dion-Pons was convicted in a Quebec courtroom of living on the profits of juvenile prostitution and sentenced to three years in prison.
ALERT’s Human Trafficking unit believes there may be additional victims and is encouraging them to come forward. Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact local police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
ALERT is an Alberta government-funded organization that combines the province’s top law enforcement resources to combat serious and organized crime.
