Calgary police are turning to the public for help in the vicious attack of a senior at the downtown library.."At approximately 3 p.m., on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022, a senior was on the fourth floor of the Calgary Public Library, located at 800 3 Street S.E., sitting at a computer station. The senior left his computer to ask the staff for some help and when he returned, an unknown man was sitting at his computer," Calgary police said in a Thursday press release.."The senior asked the man to move as he was still logged into the computer on his library account. The suspect got up, retrieved another chair and sat next to the victim.".Police say the situation then turned into a fight with the senior being thrown to the ground and knocked unconscious. The thug then punched the helpless victim in the face repeatedly before fleeing..The suspect is described as a young man, with a slim build and black hair that was dyed blond. He was wearing dark pants, brown loafer-style shoes and a jacket with a blue, purple and grey pattern, said police..Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or whereabouts is asked to contact the police non-emergency number at 403-266-1234. Tips can also be left anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
