A 36-year-old man is facing two counts of sexual assault after allegedly assaulting two women he met through dating apps in separate incidents.According to Calgary police, the first victim met the man online in June 2023 and later met him in person in September. After a date, she went back to his apartment, where the two initially engaged in consensual activity. The next morning, police say, the man sexually assaulted her. She reported the incident to police in January 2025.A second woman met the same man in December 2024, and after a few dates agreed to visit him at his residence. Police say the two briefly engaged in consensual activity before the man began to sexually assault her. She also left and reported the incident to police the following month.Following an investigation by the Calgary Police Service Sexual Assault Investigative Unit, Tuoyo Barnabas Sado, of Calgary, was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual assault. .He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.Police reminded the public that consent must be clearly given before engaging in any sexual activity and that people have the right to withdraw consent at any time.They also noted that there is no time limit for reporting a sexual assault and encouraged anyone with information to contact police or submit tips anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
