A Calgary man is facing multiple charges after allegedly filming young girls and women without their consent at a southeast shopping mall.And it's not the first time he's been in trouble with the law.Police say the incident occurred on Tuesday, June 24, around 5:20 p.m., at Southcentre Mall.. A witness reported seeing a man using his cellphone to secretly film women and young girls.Officers interviewed the complainant and reviewed mall security footage, which helped them identify a suspect. However, the individual could not be immediately located.On July 1,police executed a search warrant at a residence in the 400 block of Marquis Lane S.E. Investigators seized electronic devices that contained child pornography, and the suspect was arrested without incident.Jeffrey Robert Williamson, 51, has been charged with one count each of voyeurism, possession of child pornography, and accessing child pornography. He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.Williamson was arrested previously in 2017, following a police investigation prompted by a complaint regarding the ‘Canada Creep’ Twitter account. "The account, which had upwards of 16,000 followers at the time, shared images of unsuspecting women including videos recorded under skirts. Many of the images were recorded in Calgary’s downtown core," CTV reported.Police seized multiple computers and electronic devices that contained hundreds of thousands of images.Williamson entered a guilty plea to the charges of possession of child pornography and was jailed for two years.Police are asking anyone with information or who believes they may be a victim to call the non-emergency line at 403-266-1234.
