
A 48-year-old Calgary restaurant owner has been charged with obtaining sexual services for consideration from a person under 18 years of age.
Ruslan Reuven Pinkhasov, owner of Pilav Central restaurant, allegedly propositioned a 15-year-old girl for sexual services in exchange for money and gifts.
According to police, the incident occurred in June 2024 when the girl and her family visited the restaurant.
Pinkhasov approached them, offered the girl an employment interview, and provided his personal contact information.
A few days later, he arranged to meet her at Chinook Mall for an interview, where he allegedly asked her personal questions and offered her $8,000 in exchange for sexual services.
Pinkhasov also allegedly offered to marry the girl when she turned 18 and promised to financially support her and provide other benefits.
The girl reported the incident to police, leading to a thorough investigation and Pinkhasov's subsequent arrest.
Pinkhasov has been charged with one count of obtaining sexual services for consideration from a person under 18 years of age.
He is scheduled to appear in court on March 19. Police are urging anyone with information about this incident or similar incidents to come forward.
