A Chilliwack man has been arrested after breaching the conditions of his parole. Clayton Eheler, 42, was convicted of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking in 2023, and spent 10 months in custody before being released on a Long-Term Supervision Order in July 2024.According to the Chilliwack RCMP, Eheler was apprehended by the force's Drug Section, with the assistance of the BC Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit on December 6, though police first became aware of potential parole violations shortly after his release in the summer. Among them were "not to associate with anyone believed to be involved in criminal activity."Following a brief investigation, Eheler was found to have been in breach of his Long-Term Supervision Order and is currently being held in custody for. A review has been launched to determine whether he will have his parole revoked."This investigation highlights our Drug Section’s commitment to disrupting criminal networks and keeping our community safe," Chilliwack RCMP Insp. Jeff Bowerman said. "We want to thank the BC Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit who was integral in the safe arrest of Mr. Eheler."
