Ontario’s Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad thanked the media and public for helping it to find a federal offender with many distinct face tattoos. .Federal offender Michael Stamatakos, 31, was described as 5-ft., 5-ins., 110 lbs, with brown hair, brown eyes, and multiple tattoos, according to a Thursday press release. .Stamatakos was serving a two-year sentence for arson — damage to property, dangerous operation of a conveyance, flight from a peace officer, uttering threats to cause harm or death, and possession of a Schedule 1 substance. .The release said he was located and arrested by Hamilton police Saturday at 11:30 p.m. .ROPE requested the public’s assistance on February 23 to locate Stamatakos, as he was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breaching his release conditions. .READ MORE: HE WON'T BE HARD TO MISS: Ontario police searching for suspect with facial tattoos.He was believed to be in areas around Toronto at the time. .Anyone with information about him or information regarding his whereabouts was asked to contact the Provincial ROPE at (416) 808-5900, Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477, or police at 911.
