Coquitlam man charged in series of sex assaults

A Maple Ridge man is facing multiple charges in connection with a series of sexual assaults that took place in Coquitlam in December 2024.

The BC Prosecution Service has approved nine counts of sexual assault against 25-year-old Daniel Landy.

He is accused of sexually assaulting nine separate individuals between December 4 and December 7, 2024.

The allegations involve inappropriate touching of people walking in public areas.

Landy was identified and arrested on December 8, 2024, following efforts from frontline officers and supporting units.

The Coquitlam RCMP’s Victim Services unit is involved, and police are encouraging any additional victims or witnesses to come forward by calling the Coquitlam RCMP non-emergency line at 604-945-1550 and referencing file 2024-32060.
