The NHL announced Friday it has extended the number of games postponed for the Calgary Flames axing their previously scheduled game against Seattle on December 23..This will take the Flames into the holiday break with a total of six postponed games. The next game is scheduled for Monday, December 27 when the Oilers will be in town..Additional games have also been postponed for the Colorado Avalanche and Florida Panthers in the coming days due to concerns with the number of positive cases in the last two days..The Flames’ postponed games to date include: December 13 @ Chicago; December 14 @ Nashville; December 16 vs. Toronto; December 18 vs. Columbus; December 21 vs. Anaheim; December 23 vs. Seattle.The Avalanche’s postponed games include: December 18 vs. Tampa Bay; December 20 @ Detroit; December 22 @ Buffalo; December 23 @ Boston..The Panthers’ postponed games include: December 18 @ Minnesota; December 21 @ Chicago; December 23 vs. Nashville..The decision was made by the NHL’s, the NHLPA’s and the club medical groups..The league is in the process of reviewing and revising each team’s schedules.
